Have a pre M10 38 Spl SN 308xxx can any one date it.

That is a M & P Model of 1905, 4th change, made cerca 1917-1918. It pre-dates the introduction of heat treated cylinders so should be restricted to standard 38 Specials only, no +P and certainly no +P+ or 38-44 loads.
