I can't help but cry a little bit when I see a lovely old cast iron muffin pan and a cornbread skillet relegated to casting ingots ...
I still cook with my cast iron pans and use actual ingot moulds to make ingots.

I bought the cornbread pan new. The cob pans were found at resale shops. We have Wagner and Griswold skillets for cooking

That's one fine looking banjo burner you are using for your heat source! I bought one a bit smaller last year and am about ready to see how it will perform. In the last year I brought home 150 pounds of Lawrence chilled shot in 25 pound bags. Then found 260 pounds of clean pure lead already smelted down and molded in cornbread sticks. Between these two piles I should have the makings of plenty more boolits.
