Hello everyone, I’m new to the forum. I just got a 140 grain gas check rcbs mould and can’t wait to start shooting my old Swedes. I had to special order a lee sized, .268. Both slugged out at .267 groove diameter. I’ve been casting round balls for BP shooting and cartridge rifle (no gas checks) for only like 5 years. This is my first gas check mould. I was surprised lee doesn’t make a 6.5 sizer. I’m taking over the military cast bullet match at my club(Whispering Pines Cap and Flint, Cherry Flats PA) so I’m looking forward to reading through some threads and learning from all those who came before.

Welcome to the forum, there's some good info about on your 6.5 cast loading. Mr Gibson has a post on this which is very enlightening.

Look forward to your tests. 30CF

I'm not familiar with Larry Gibson's post. Could you post a link?

I've bookmarked these two threads, both of which are very advanced for me and I doubt that I'll ever get to the level of expertise that they exhibit. Once you get into the Swede a little further, they may be of use to you. The first, IIRC, has a lot that you have to ignore.
