Anyone know a Maxwell Kinion from the Cayman islands
There are alarm bells going off in my head about his order

I have no idea about a person of that name but I'd be suspicious as to whether the person you are dealing with is actually IN the Cayman Islands or just claiming to be.
Just because they say they are in the Cayman Islands doesn't mean that's where they are.

And I wouldn't be real quick to export something firearm related to the Cayman Islands without knowing both the laws AND the players.

No firearms or parts just powdercoating powder
Still suspicious of the order.

Do you have payment?

That would be my question.

No not yet ... wants me to accept a "certified check" and send to a freight forwarder I believe this is a phishing scam. So going to just let his request drop and not respond
responding would just cause further issues..

Sounds to me like the check will be well in excess of the order amount, and he asks for a refund. Then when the check turns out to be bogus, you're left holding the bag for what you "refunded" to them.

YEP, agreed. Total Scam.

Tell him Paypal only.

Don't tell him anything.

The OP wrote, " wants me to accept a "certified check" and send to a freight forwarder ......."

Walk away, don't respond; just move on. There is NOTHING to be gained by continuing to communicate with that scammer and a lot to lose.

Sounds like some of the offers I got when I sold my lathe and mill a few weeks ago.

When I read the description of what the buyer was proposing I passed it through all my decision centers.
The head said no.
The heart said no.
The gut said no.
That's 3 strikes. He's outta here!

Punch it in to the FBI fraud list. It will show if any frauds have been reported under that name.

I get these all the time in my engraving business, I need 144 Cup/plates, etc with my name and birthdate. I'll send you a check for $100 more so you can have my forwarder paid by you out of my check.
