Prayers Needed.

My Aunt Celeste, mid 80s, lives in Warroad Minn had 2 heart attacks and a stroke 2 days ago.

This morning she woke up, said "Hi" had a drink of water. If she makes it through the weekend family plans to move her to nursing home on monday.

Celeste and her husband bill (Bill is my mothers younger brother) raised 2 fine children, lived solid christian lives.
Celeste is strong, full blooded norwegian and can be a bit on the stubborn side. She was a nurse for several decades and has been a pillar of her community.

All prayers for her and family would be appreciated.

I think she is just not sure if she is ready to go be with the Lord or not.

She had a good day today, ate, drank, talked some.

Seemed bright and happy the family was all there.

Father please be with Celeste as she battles her illnesses. Please give her comfort and freedom from pain. Please give her a clear and open mind so that she can make the correct decisions about how to approach the time she still has with her family and friends. AMEN

Will say some prayers for your Aunt and the family! I, too, as many others do sometimes, become indecisive about "crossing over". It's just not up to us as to when we should go. Will never forget the look on "Mama's" face the minute she passed. With eyes wide open and the sweetest smile, she apparently saw Jesus standing on the banks of the Jordan! I pray that God comforts your Aunt with His love.

I am reluctant about adding this. Not trying to imply I have a hot line to the Lord.

But when I asked the Holy spirit told he she has nothing to worry about. The Lord was just waiting for her to make up her mind where she wanted to be. Which in many ways is a huge relief.

Celeste had a really good night, she is talking in full sentences, being cooperative.
Good news in my opinion. Prayers are working. Thank you.

Celeste continues to improve, had a good night last night, is bright, talking in full sentences, Is very much enjoying all the family around.

From what I hear she is pretty much out of danger and is mending quickly. My cousin will be taking care of his dad while his mom is in nursing home recovering.

I have never really doubted the power of prayer. But she started improving almost as soon as I posted this thread.

Thank you all. Bill and Celeste are good christian people, who have lived their lives helping others.
It is good to see that they can get some help when they need it.

Last I heard she was looking around her room at the nursing home saying "I won't be here long, I need to get back and take care of my husband"

Celeste has a truly indomitable spirit. Nothing holds her down or back for long if she has decided to move forward.

Thanks again for all the prayers. I noticed almost from the time I posted this that the news went from "doing vigil as she dies" to "Celeste is recovering at an amazing rate"

I think she still needs some rehab time to get the arm, leg working on the right side.

But, all she has suffered and she is talking in full sentences, feeding herself. Enjoying telling all the old family stories.

Truly he works in mysterious ways, and I wholeheartly believe in the power of prayer.

Thanks again to each and every one of you who prayed and responded. It was greatly appreciated.

Progress is being made! She was using her right arm yesterday.

Her family thanks you all for the prayers, they are working.
A week ago they were expecting a funeral within the week.
Now they are expecting her to be home in a month or 2 at the most.

Dramatic stuff. Thank you Lord! And thank you brothers!
