Just showing off my HG68 mold with her Rem/Rand 45. I use straight W/W with a little tin added. Cast out about 208GR.

Way back in the early 1970's when I shot NRA bullseye matches one of the shooters had SEVERAL 4, 6 and 10 hole H&G moulds and cast slugs for those of us that reloaded. I used to get H&G #68's cast the same as yours; WW's and a bit of tin, for all of TWO CENTS each. I loaded thousands of those over 4.5 of Bullseye.

And at that time the H&G #68, cast HARD over a healthy load of Unique was considered a good carry load for the .45 acp 1911's. These were the years before even Super-Vel hollow points. Much less the great slugs we have today.

Thats some nice Cast Boolits porn for sure. LOL.

Purty, purty, purty.

An excellent 6 cavity of the last period....It has all the features of a late production 6 cavity mould. I think Wayne told me that they stopped everything above a 4 cavity after 1994 or so...and closed their doors in 1999.

I have its twin somewhere in my collection, oiled, waiting, for one of these days when I have more time to play with my moulds again.

Thanks for posting the pics. Consider them stolen!

~cheers~
