Looking at molds for my sa 1911 RO in 9mm. It does not like the Lee 124 TC at all. Has anyone cast for their SA 1911? What works? Looking at the heavy end on molds, 135 147.

Just wondering; is there a feeding problem or accuracy problem? The Lee bullet feeds fine in my 3, 9mm pistols ...

I have a Springfield Range officer in 9mm and have used the Lee 120 TC boolit. It feeds and shoots fine in mine. I have never tried the 124TC boolit since it is a microgroove boolit and has a reputation for failing to perform in many 9mm pistols, not just the SA. It tumbles or gives patterns instead of groups for many people.
The standard lube groove boolit does make a difference.
If it is jamming, I suspect it is doing a nose dive jam where the nose of the boolit drops before entering the chamber and stops the slide. This can be corrected by using a longer OAL(assuming it will still chamber properly) or by getting some Wilson Combat magazines.
As far as larger boolits, I like the NOE 135RF and the 155TC(ELCO).
There is a lot of data available on this site for the 155TC(ELCO). Just do a search.
I am also curious about what specific issue you are having, whether feeding or accuracy.

I am having feeding issues. Accuracy in my other 9's is OK, not great but good for practice. Using chip and wilson mags. OAL is an issue with the bullet and this chamber. They have to be short which I think could be the problem. I will check out those molds.

I've had good luck so far with the Lee TL356-124-2R. Feeds well in my Norinco 9mm 1911 and at 1.100" OAL it fits the chamber well.

In my SR1911 OM I use the following:
Lee 125 2R
MP 359-115RN
MP 359-130
Arsenal 124TC

All 4 feed just fine if the OAL is @ or near 1.1 (keep in mind: Ruger throated the bbl. on my SR1911 OM...I assume that this is standard). Accuracy wise: they shoot better than I do.

I had one that had a minimal chamber and a max throat. Bullets were sized to .3585 and seated in brass run through a custom.356 expander. Pulled bullets were .3575. Throat was .3582. Leading, leading, and more leading. Tried conventional lube and Hi-Tek. Pound cast of the chamber, throat, leade and barrel bore and groove told the story. Sent it down the road and bought a different pistol with barrel that was cast friendly. Guy that bought the SA 1911 RO shoots nothing but store bought jacketed ammo and knew up front it was a about. Just his cup of tea.

Funny you mention patterns with the Lee TC boolit. I am pc'ing them and size to .358. Groups are OK Today I just load some up unsized went out and they shoot much better. So a bit larger for these seems better.
