I picked up a Huaqvarna Model 33 rolling block in 9.3x57r. I have been able to make brass with 38-55 basic (2.24”) and I altered a set of 9.3x72r dies to load with. I bought the Accurate 37-193B mold that drops a .365 bullet at 193 grains. Now to find some load data. Many threads have the advice to just use 38-55 data however there is no published data for anything less than 225grains.

In Lyman’s cast bullet manual there are a couple of powders listed that I have on hand. 4189 and 3031. Listed below are the starting loads for each bullet weight listed

4198 3031
225g 21 31
249g 24 27
264g 20 26
300g 20.5 27
312g 20 25.5
335g 22 26.5
My question is would it be appropriate to use the starting load listed for a lighter bullet. Generally the charge goes up for lighter bullets and the 3031 shows that but the 4198 only shows one weight that it is a bit higher. My thought is because this is an older gun (though nitro proofed) I want to keep the load to a somewhat low pressure plinking type load. I am thinking of starting with 21 grains of 4198 and check for all the usual signs of pressure. What say you experts.
Thanks for looking
