Cheapest primers I'm aware of are HI-TECH AMMUNITIONS' CCI 200's, 300'S' ETC. for 115.00/ 5K plus Haz Mat and shipping. Works out to 250.00 plus shipping for 10 K or roughly $26/ thousand. If anyone is aware of a better deal I'd sure like to know about it.

My local dealer sells CCI small pistol for $50.00/1,000 and CCI large pistol $54.00/1,000
they are the cheapest, everything else (Win,Fed,Rem) is uphill from there

You guys in the US don't know how cheap you get things. Ask the Scandinavians and Europeans what they pay. More than even the Kiwis and Aussies.

Powder Valley has the best prices I have seen (CCI - 5000 for $107.00 + Hazmat and shipping). The last order I sent it was for 20,000 primers.

Week before last I found them ranging from $29-$32 plus tax. The other day I stopped by a rural pawn broker and saw 4k Win LR primers with about a quarter inch of dust on them. They were priced at 21.99.

I've seen Win primers for 23.95-29.95 depending on where you go. I think some of the smaller shops that don't sell many haven't had to reorder yet!

Well if you don't have to have CCI primers I buy Wolf primers at Graf's for $16 per 1,000.

me thinks you are living in the past( it does not take long in theis biz)

the current price on wolf is 16.99 and up IF YOU ARE A DEALER.
most people do not qualify for the dealer discount.
open price is 20.59...BUT
they are out of nearly all wolf primers and you must add haz mat to that price....

i'm selling wolf 223 primers for 23 tax included or 110 for 5k.

Based on what you folks posted, I ain't got it too bad!
I heard this morning that copper prices are about half now of what they were recently. I 'spose that means primer and brass prices are gonna come down just like gasoline?!
Yah, right! and I got some ocean front property in Arizona I might offer before the tide recedes! How about it Mugs?

You might not be that far off. If OlBama don't tax them for 500%, he will probably stop the war, rape the military for social spending, and extend the recession as the rich send their money off shore out of his reach.

That plus the fact that people have been stocking up outta fear, means that retail sales of everything from guns to primers are going to drop off the end of the world for a few months as people work off their stash. Excess manufacturing capacity will have to be idled, or else prices will have to be dropped to compete which is how capitalism works.

So prices could very well come down on GCs, primers, and everything else assuming they aren't banned altogether.

Each Spring and Fall several of us do a "group buy" sort of deal. Allows us to buy in a larger quantity as well as amortize the stupid Haz Mat fee between the group. FAR better deal than buying from the local Sportsmans Warehouse or Scheels.

Easy to do and it saves us 30-40% on average.
