I recently purchased a bunch of different lapping paste tubes from China. I had forgotten the corresponding size to ANSI grit so I had to look it up again.
There are several "standards" for sizing grit that can be confusing now that we have the internet and the different conventions are often mixed up. So I looked for a good quick reference chart. Couldn't find anything QUICK so I made one.
The references for grit are often not clearly defined so this is just a quick reference. Don't go measuring this stuff with an electron microscope and criticizing me for being off a couple of percentage points.
I also am including a link to one of the better references I found on the internet. In case you like to read smaller type.
