Hi...
I suppose that would work.
I keep mine in the die box with the reloading dies.

I would need 9 of the same shell holder for these calibers, if I keep them in the die boxes: 308, 30-06, 270, 8x57, 7x57, 9.3x57, 6.5x58 portuguese, 45ACP.
Good thing I don't have any .284Win based chamberings or .243Win. :)

I wonder if WalMart has anything similar? I like this idea as all of mine are just in a zip-lock bag now and I have to go through the entire bag to find the one I need. Always?

A box like that is not a bad idea.
If you have more than one caliber for each shell holder, pick one set of dies and leave it in there. Like with a shell holder for most .473 size cases, leave it in the 30-06 die set. That way you know where to look.
You could just buy Lee dies, most of their die sets come with a shell holder.

Put screws in a board. Duplicates can piggyback. Put the board on a shelf until needed.

That's a good idea.
Mine are in a empty plastic margarine bowl in the cabinet with dies and powder.

I use a magnetic strip to hold mine, but I only need about 10, so a small strip is all I need. I used epoxy to stick neodymium magnets on the back from a computer hard drive. That way I can stick them on the leg of my portable bench, or screw it on the wall if need be. Harbor Freight has these for free now and then, they are now about 18" or so, but can be easily modified since it's just a channel with magnets stuck to the inside and tape over it, but I somehow ended up with a short 8" one which was perfect for this. I use the longer one, same double magnet setup, to hold the wrenches I need for the dies, and some screw drivers, and sockets.

I use Clark's idea. But i label each screw/nail with caliber, as well as color code each screw/nail/shell holder

That plastic box looks like it will work well. I have a plastic board that RCBS used to sell that has numbered studs on it. It also has a slide rule type chart on back that ID's the shell holders use.

Before that I had a set of plastic drawers ( still have it ) for my small tools and parts. I cut a board that fits in it and drilled holes for wooden dowels. I think I actually used corn dog sticks.

Lots of good ideas, but I reload on my Co-Ax and don't often need shell holders so all of mine are kept in a small plastic box. I do like the bobbin box idea! One day I may look for a "better" storage idea, but I haven't needed to go through my shell holders to find a specific size in quite a while...

Next day; The more I thought about diopter's idea the more I liked it so I stopped by Bi-Mart and looked for a bobbin storage box Alas! Alot of the sewing stuff had been removed for Halloween candy and I couldn't fins a box. But I will keep it in mind and check the sewing isle whenever I go into a store...

I de-prime with a universal de-caper on a very old C single stage (CH by Roddy), even my pistol brass.
Makes for much cleaner reloading single & progressive presses, and of course that means having shell plates and shell holders for the pistol calibers I do in volume.

I keep mine ready-at-hand. Hollywood on-top, RCBS on the bottom.

Originally "stumped" with quite a few shell holders and no "good" place to store them, I strung them like pearls on a long plastic wire tie with a safety pin through the tip and a nylon washer on the other end. They just hang where I put them, in a sorted line, small # to large #, duplicates next to one another. Mostly, I can only use one or two at a time so the rest wait.

I use a magnetic strip too.

Diopter -- I love your idea, and will be seeking plastic box)es) to duplicate. I "started" using drawers in a metal parts box, but with additional shell-holders acquired through the years picked up (empty) Lyman shell-holder assortment boxes. Now I have four of these, labeled -- three in front of the metal box, and one in garage (my "brass cleaning" station out there.247050 "Yes" -- I generally can find the 'holders I need rather quickly -- but I do think you have come upon a better system for storage. Kudos, and thanks!

That’s a very good tip, I usually get left over boxes from wife’s art hobby that don’t work for her but I find a way to get it to work. Labeling seams like good idea also. Thanks.

I drilled the proper size holes in a piece of hardwood that resembles a loading block and put them on the board in order, Small #s to large. Gp

Thanks for the idea. After reading your post , I decided to look on Amazon. They have hundreds of bobbin boxes, but I settled on a clear plastic box that held 25 bobbins-sold as a pair for 5.59. Shell holders fit perfectly and the boxes seem quite sturdy. For years I've kept my holders in the little green individual boxes that RCBS holders used to come in. Over the years the clasp broke on many of these and I also acquired a bunch of loose ones. I keep the holders for the Lee priming tools , and Sinclair and K&M in the little red boxes that Lee sells. I've thought about getting those for my regular shell holders, but these work much better, I stuck a small gummed label on the lid over each holder for quick identification.

I use the clear plastic cases for keeping screws etc in order(organizer) as I remove from pistol, rifle etc.
Even have an additional two(different models) designated for laptop disassembly. Keeps those little 3mm screws in tow.
