Bought a set of dies, box marked 270 Gibbs. Upon getting home, I find a 270 Gibbs resizing die and two dies marked 270 Curry. All dies are RCBS. Does anyone know what a 270 Curry cartridge is?

Call RCBS Tech folks. If they made them they have all the records.

Wayne Smith: Great answer. RCBS responded within hours giving me the street address in Texas of the shop that custom ordered the dies in 1974. Custom dies but did not know chambering. THANKS

I guess it's time to call that shop in Texas. That is if it is still a going concern.

Not much about Curry but did find this info on other forums:
"The Curry rifle was made by G. W. (George) Curry, a gunsmith who had a shop in San Angelo, Texas from the early 50's through the early '80's when he retired."
"George was most noted for the .250 Curry, which was very similar to the Gibbs cartridges based on the 30-06 case."
"George Curry also made a line of improved 06 cartridges. like the 25-06 Curry Improved."
"Shop closed in 1989"
"George Walter Curry (1913-1991)"
