Welcome to the club. The gentleman who did rimfire to centerfire conversions is no longer doing this type of work. And Dixie gunworks is sold out on both rimfire and centerfire breech blocks.Hope you find one. Also the hammer may or may not will have to be modified so it hits the firing pin only and not both the pin and the receiver sidewall at the same time. Frank

Good morning
Years ago we bought a Peabody 45-70 made for a state militia. Couple years ago we bought an early Peabody carbine in 56-50 rim-fire.
The breach blocks do interchange.
So maybe you can come across any centerfire Peabody that you would be interested in and swap the breach block between the two. that is what we do. Takes about 15 minutes.

Good morning
Oh yes ! Last time north We fired 50 rounds center fire 50-56. That was all the slugs I had on hand Never got back to casting any more 40-1. 3F goex with one cereal box wad under the slug. Used our standard 450 grain.
But it sits in the Danville War Museum with the center fire breech still installed and the Peobody 45-70 with the rim fire breech.
If anyone were to look closely at that 45-70 they sure would have a real wonder about a 45-70 Rimfire.

it is also still in rimfire,
