Range time for me today ,
XDE 45 3.3 if any one but me likes DA CC guns these are a sleeper you never hear anything about , 6 + 1 with the short mag. The SA trigger has gone from just under 5lb to just under 4lbs the DA trigger is just under 9lbs. The only malfunctions in maybe 1000 rounds were with the. Lee 200 grain tl-swc when it was new they now are 100%
Out of all the small 45s I have had XDS , Glock 36 , kimber , sig ,S&W ,Star PD and probably others ( I like small 45s. :-o ) this has been the the most reliable and easy to shoot well. I pasted over it for other guns several times . For me that was a mistake.
The other range toy to day was my single seven it will shoot if I can do my part , at 25 yards 7 shot groups today I could get 5 shots in 1 to 2" the other 2 would open it up to 4 or 5. :violin: this gun had some issues when I got it but I think all is good now .
To day I was shooting 32 h&r cases with 4.4 grains of BE-86 and a hi-tek SNS 98 grain. Rnfp.

It's cleaning time.

My Stoeger stainless steel Navy Luger.........or I'm trying anyway. After struggling with multiple issues (a new gun mind you!) I've decided the recoil spring in this thing has the muscles of Superman. I had a 1920's commercial Luger years ago and cycling the action was like butter. This thing takes two men and a dog to chamber the first round, and it usually stove pipes because the bolt isn't pulled all the way to the rear. When released, the bolt moves forward and grabs the TOP of the cartridge forcing it forward and UP. Anyway, tomorrow I'm calling Wolff Gunsprings and ordering the lightest spring they have (36 lbs.), then I'll try it again.

The factory mags may be an issue also, but there are replacements available. I'll keep you posted!

Range day is tomorrow with a friend after work. It’ll be my RIA 10mm 1911 and his 45 FN plastic thing. Can’t wait! He doesn’t reload, so I’ll come home with some brass

I have a .22lr (Winchester 190) that was my father-in-law's Christmas present in 1965 from my wife and me. He passed away in 2001, my mother-in-law asked my wife and me to come and get the rifle as her other daughter was asking about it and she thought it should come back to us. I have had this rifle now for 4 years but just have not got around to sighting it in with the ammo we have on hand. I have no idea where it is hitting right now. It has been raining outside and if not this evening, maybe tomorrow. james
