Anybody ever use one of these? They look like high quality setups, but you never know looking at their advertising. If not, what do you guys use for marlins without sling studs? Thanks in advance for any information.

I've been using this on EVERY long gun (rifle/shotgun) w/o sling studs for over 30 years.

I normally carry it in a pocket or haversack while hunting (when the gun should be in the hands and not on the shoulder).

It's no big deal to make one (I've made a few copies for friends that wanted to buy mine)

Im the type of person that will drill a vintage rifle for sling attachment. I would use vintage loops from the period. I dont buy guns as investment though, and dont care if folks get all tore up bout such. I might not drill for a scope or sight, but slings have always been an available accessory, so my vote is modify the gun.

I have one on my 1886 browning carbine. I really like it. Easy to put on or take off.

I have one on my Henry 41 with the cartridge holder. It is a work if art. The Henry has swivels so that is the model I have. I really like it.
