I have a new Mihec 359-220 that drops at 216gr as a HP with my range scrap alloy. Intended for 358 Winchester and 35 Whelen.

I am going to experiment with loading long and using these single shot in a 357 magnum Winchester 1892, 20" barrel. They chamber smoothly and engrave rifling about 0.050" when seated at the crimp groove in 357 magnum brass. Ignore the ugly wrinkles, mold isn't broken in yet and was too cold.

This borders on the realm of -why would I do this, I have a half dozen good molds for 357-, and the answer is "because..."
I referenced an article on the 358627 courtesy of Mr. Glen Fryxell on the LASC page:

The MP mold gives more case capacity than the 358627, but this is a base of reference. Not much published in my manuals this heavy. Hodgdon online data for rifle doesn't go snow above 180gr. I don't plan on nuclear loads and I'm not trying to make it into a 357 Maximum, though the 20" barrel ought to give respectable velocity. Standard caveats of start low and work up apply. Any one else try going this heavy in 357 mag?
