Today I took the Marlin 1895GS 45-70 back out again today since I adjusted the sights cold at home. And thought I should go out just to make sure all is good. Glad I did lol. So here is a lessen kids lol. Do not assume.

Took only 5 shots. The bottom one then readjusted the site and then the second from the bottom and bingo I was there so I placed 3 shots. A Half inch group center to center is not bad in my book. But I could be wrong lol. :)

And yes I wanted it a bit high for 130 yard shots. I am not sure if I am correct in this so any thoughts would be great. :)

Load is the RD350GR GC with 52.OGr of H-322 ,Rem Case,Fed 210 Primer.

These were done at 100Yards Not 50 folks.

Do not let people tell you a Lever Gun can not shoot lol. :)

Greetings Hows everything in San Antonio... I bought my Norton motorcycle from a little shop near Zilker Park back in 1972 when I was still a Gunner (M60A1) at Ft. Hood.
You are correct on the " Never assume nothing"...
My old Speer book has an Exterior Ballistic table... so saying your load is going near 1700fps and with a BC of .21 this book says to be dead on at 150 you will be 3.7 inches high at 100 yrds.. So with your target yoiu are near your 135 yrd zero... But I would check that if possible.. I may not be guessing your velocity correctly or the Ballistic Coefficient of your boolit... should be near though. I would sacrifice 3 more cartriges and know for sure.

Looking good. I have a sport shooting that bullet in his 1895G next week for deer. Looks like it'll do a good job.

Thank You so much for the info. What I was looking at was a 130 to 135 yard Zero. Woo Hoo . But on the Ranch Dog site they should be going about 1900FPS. :).

I used Ranch Dog 350g bullets in my 45-70 Ruger NO 1 .I get 5 shot clover leaf groups at 50 yds using 23 g 4759.Although the throat of the Ruger is very short I load them to 2.480 OL.If I dont get this grouping it is me the load is that good Yes Ranch Dog rules!:Fire:
