I have read that 7.0 grains of 452AA with a 240 grain lead SWC bullet is a good pleasant load for the .44 Magnum. Would 7.3 grains of 452AA with a 240 lead SWC bullet make that load dangerous? I ask because I want to use a RCBS pre-determined rotor to charge the case with the 452AA powder. That rotor is set for 7.3 grains of 452AA.

Per some notes I made when using 452 in several calibers 7.5 grains with a Lee 214 gr SWC was a mild load. No reference in my notes as to where that load came from. WW452 and Hogdons Trap 100 are the same but only reference I have for Trap 100 in the 44 is an old Hogdons handbook that lists 6.5 grs with a 240-250 gr bullet, cast or jacketed was not specified. One of the older Speer books listed loads for some of the Winchester shotgun powders so hopefully someone will come along who has one and can provide better data.

I use the RCBS Little Dandy Rotor #13 which meters 6.6 grains of 452AA with the Accurate 43-257H which is similar to #429421. Velocity is about 900 fps from a 4" S&W Model 29-2. Same #13 rotor measures 7.2 grains of Alliant Bullseye for about 1000 fps. I don't think your #14 rotor with 7.3 grains of 452AA would be dangerous, but it may not shoot as well as a lighter load. In a stout gun it won't hurt to try a few.
