thinking about this Aimpoint. could use regular Ruger rings in 30mm. don't won't to change the looks of the rifle

I had an Aimpoint very much like that on a Ruger No. 1, and liked it. Mine had a 4 MOA dot. The dot is very fast to pick up, faster than irons, and just as accurate. Aimpoints have a broad brightness range which you can set just as you like. The sight is forward mounted (nothing over the chamber) so you have free access to the chamber for easy loading/unloading. I tried a couple of conventional scopes on the rifle, but thought the red dot suited it best. Only downside is the cost!

the Aimpoint h30s is ordered
when I will get it. they say about 2 months

will be using Warne quick detach in 30 mm for it. it has a 2 Moa dot

will post pics when I get it

I have a Aimpoint Micro h2 on my 30-06 with 2 moa dot

it is accurate. beer can at 200 yards easy and 6 inches group at 300 past that I haven't tried it
