I share your views on SIG pistols. I had a P226 for a while and while it was definitely a well made pistol the grip angle and ergonomics just didn't work for me or Mrs. Thumbcocker. The SIG 1911 on the other hand is a very accurate pistol for both of us. Really enjoy the videos.

Another good job, Howard.
I like my P220 and my P6, but the fat butt Sigs are a little too much for my hand. Sigs tend to be more accurate than their competitors, but then, they cost more.
I always mark the shot on the target when I miss or run over time with a Sharpie so I don't "forget" when I score the target

Thank you! I would say your commnet pretty much sums up my view of the 227.

Yeah, that's a good practice. It also helps when you have a video to remind you (and the rest of the world) of your errors!

Great job , to score like you did with a pistol model you have not fired before is very impressive.
Thanks for posting this series..

Traded my new-to-me 227 for a BP Ten II...
Already own 220s (SA & DA/SA), 229s (9 & 40) and a 226 (9mm). With the exception of my 220SA, they're all at a disadvantage in IDPA.
Also own a TacOps (45) & a Nightmare (357sig w/ extra 9mm & 38Super barrels).
Guess I didn't have practical use with a 227...

I'm sure there are shooters out there who really like the 227 Elite, which is great, but that pistol and I just did not mesh.
