Guys,
I am very interested in shooting/hunting with 12ga Slugs from my NEF single shot and was wondering which bbl you would recommend. Part#014--- 12 Ga., 24" Rifled or Part#377---12 Ga., 3" Chamber, 24" Fully Rifled, Bull? I shoot a few bull bbls on my centerfire's and they do make a difference in accuracy.
I am also going to purchace Part#150 12 Ga., 22" Mod. and try shooting round balls.

Thanks for your Help

The fully rifled bull 12 ga fits on a 10 ga receiver, I think. The light rifled 12 ga fits on a 12 ga receiver. The fully rifled bull 20 ga fits on a 12 ga receiver. Make sure you get it straight form the manufacturer as to what fits what.

725,
Thanks for the heads up. I spoke with a tech from NEF and she said that the ULTRA HVY SLUG hunter bbl. is for a "stand alone" sb-2 frame and cannot be purchased separately with their barrel exchange program:(
They do offer a rifle slug bbl. for the 12ga but its not the HVY bbl. Its PART# 014 12ga. 24" rifled.....$65.00

Thanks

I would try to get the 20ga Ultra Slug Hunter barrel... I have both a 12 and 20ga USH and enjoy shooting the 20 ga more than the 12ga! Both shoot better than any other slug barrel I have ever used.

The NEF-USH 20ga. is a 12ga. barrel under bored to 20ga.
The NEF-USH 12ga. is a 10ga. barrel under bored to 12ga.

Therefore:

One must have a 10ga. frame to use the heavy 12ga. bull barrel. From my understanding you only have a 12ga. frame so therefore if you want a bull barrel you have only one option the 20ga. bull barrel. The tech was right about the options for your frame but what she didn't tell you is that if you bought a 10ga. you can order the USH 12ga. bull barrel to fit it --- I know because that is exactly what I did for my first NEF-USH 12ga. back then it was when they had just come out and the local gun shop couldn't get one in for me because all their suppliers were all sold out all the way back the chain to the NEF factory so they ordered a 10ga. waterfowl gun for me and as soon as I got it I turned right around and sent in the frame and had the USH 12ga. barrel fitted to it.
