I've got one of the Combat Commander size RIA guns and it shoots just as well as the 10mms I have costing 2-3 times as much....

This looks like a nice gun, especially for the money...

So far, I'm very impressed with mine. You are right. For the money, it's hard to imagine a better 10mm 1911.

RIA (aka Armscor Philippines) makes STI lowers for their Spartan line...got two in 9mm & 45acp for IDPA ESP & CDP matches & both are tack drivers with all my handloads...

Ha, ha! Mine turned out to be a tack driver too!

Great video

Seems the 10mm is making a comeback

I have a Delta Elite and a GP100 match grade but the shop I frequent has a lot of the 10mm RIA auto loaders and even a few remingtons.

Also some RIA double stacks in 10mm. all seem to be about 599 I paid 1100 for the Delta and 800 for the GP100 so the RAI 10 seems to be a better bargain.

More so if you are not sure you would enjoy a 10mm. They are allowing you to spend 1/2 as much for a 1st time 10 buyer before they spend big bucks on one.

BTW I'm a BIG fan of your vids.

Thank you Rich! May I ask your thoughts on the Delta Elite?

Well my thoughts are .....

It's a great 1911 gun I bought it because I had a friend that has one of the 1st gen guns and loved it.
Well I missed the boat they discontinued them putting them out of my price range.

When they re released them and fixed the 1st gen problems I ordered one up from BUD's.

Now for the price I was a tad disappointed as the guide rod is two piece ( no problem there ) but plastic for the price I was a bit ticked I had to spend another 20 bux to replace it.

Along with more money for the spring also. about 50 bux total.
Other then that no complaints
It shoots as well as I do

I will also say it is just a standard 1911A1 with no bells or whistles like the one in your video.

The RIA 10mm in your vid has more options like adjustable trigger and ambi safety.

I would recommend the RAI to any new potential buyer after seeing your video just in the event they didn't like the 10mm they would be spending a lot less and not losing so much on a sale.

I know some people don't care for recoil and the 10mm even with todays weaker factory loads are to much.
The RIA gun can save them a ton of money spent just to find out it isn't for them.

Here are some pix of it one with GP100 10mm

Both guns are hard to photo due to being stainless.
Forgive the paper towel over the serial #

All in all the RIA seems to be a better value then the colt. With Colt you are getting a standard 1911 and paying for a name.
The RIA gun has the bells & whistles.

ETA: better pic
A much better pic of it with my Springfield "LOADED" model .45 acp 1911.
CDNN had a sale on those skyscraper mags, 4.99 each free shipping so I bought 4 as a joke.
Never even tried them out.

I waste all my disposable money on guns reloading and old collectable toys.

Thanks for the info Rich. It seems your thoughts are right in line with my own. I would kind of like to have the "Rampant colt" engraved on the side of my pistol, well, just because! Even so, I think the RIA is a great pistol in terms of features, performance, and value.

Thanks Again,

Howard

Got a 10mm barrel that's aching for a new slide, thought that my STI 9mm host would take a 10/.40 like a para or RIA breech face, but I guess not...
