I was thinking of trying cast bullets in my 7mm-08....can anyone share their experience using it in their rifle?

Thank you!

There is a lot of data in the manuals for that combination. I tried both IMR 4198 and 3031. Started at the minimum and worked up. For me it shot best around 1850'/sec.

I already have studied them, but I've found it is always a good idea to hear from others with experience.

Mine likes the Soup Can from Midsouth or the Lee 135 grain bullet and ten grains of either Unique or 700X. Nice practice/plinking load. I use pretty much the same thing for a practice load in my 7x57.

That boolit looks similar to the Lee 130 gr 7mm boolit. The Lee boolit is my most accurate cast boolit in my 7mm TCU. My rifle's accuracy point is also about 1850 fps using 4198. Besides punching paper, it has also proven effective on our local deer.

I am using the Lee bullet in my 7mm-08. I recently acquired a Lyman 311291 and its' accuracy was outstanding in my .308 Win. I was thinking that teh 287346 is equivalent to it, fort the 7mm caliber, and it may also do as well in my 7mm-08. So I wanted to query those that have used it, to get their opinion.
