There was a 20% off special over the 4th and I cratered on this:
311-152-SP-L1 2 cavity GC Brass

Now I have to do new alloy, load, etc... But... Looks like I could get 2500+ fps if I do it right...

Might need a new gun with a slower twist...

Everything in life is a trade-off.
It's hard to gain in one area without giving up something in another.

I have to immediately delete emails from places like that when money is tight. Otherwise, I get sucked in the black hole of more, more, more....

I've got moulds I haven't even cast with yet, I don't need more.

Ah, ..... the dilemma of need vs want. I suffer greatly from the condition.

That's about the only complaint I've got with them .

I like reloading, from developing loads, gathering components, shooting to recording. So for me a new mold is a win-win situation. A new "adventure"...

I'm on a new quest right now; shot gun and shotshell reloading. I haven't fired a shotgun since I sold my Ithaca 37 in '80, but I stumbled on a shot gun on sale and I wanted it. I certainly don't need a shotgun and ammo around here is relatively cheap, and I have no need, but I wanna...:veryconfu

That is a great mould for the 300BO! I have been shooting it cast with 94/3/3, proper gas check and PC. Want to give it a try in the old '03, but have had to much fun in the AR with it.

Yeah, I ended up with a Saeco 315 clone. The more I learn about actually fitting bullets to the gun, the more I think this bullet is a real gem.

Did you go GC or PB? I have the GC version.

Gas check version. I hear the Saeco 315 might one of the best plain base 30 caliber bullets ever made, but the gas check makes life easier.

This must be how drug addicts feel. Face it, guys, we're hopelessly addicted. I was just thinking about a new mold when I opened this page!

The NOE sales are no help....us mould addicts on this site are surrounded by enablers .
When a NOE sale notice shows up in my E-Mail I can only hope it's not something I "need".
I've still got a NOE Elmer Keith signature mould in 41 magnum that I keep on my desk to look at , too pretty to dirty just yet....as soon as the newness wears off , I'll think about it...maybe .

Your thinking is flawed. You NEED a new gun with a slower twist.

I like the way you think.
My plan is to get a new upper for my AR chambered in 300 HAM'R with a 1:15 twist barrel... Pretty sure I can get really hard boolits from the new mould going in the 2000-2500 fps range... Wiiiittthhhh accuracy.
