I just got several Swiss K31 rifles from an estate and would like to cast some lead for them. I have lots of brass and everything I have seen so far says to use .308 bullets. Molds I have found so far have .309 size. Any help would be great. Thank You. I am new to old military rounds so please don't hit me to hard.

Slug it and pound cast the throat. I'm betting .312-.314.

I use a Lee 155gn 7.62x39 bullet (mould No.90385), gas checked to .309 in my K31 with good results.

K31's tend to have short throats so ogive can be an issue.

Had two of them several years ago. The [slugged] bores required a CB sized to .309" (both rifles). Btw, some CB designs shot better than others...as long as they were sized to .309".

I normally use .310 bullets. No issues other than setting the seating depth to match the throat, as was mentioned.
