Don't know why, but it always seems like I buy the gun after the group buy is closed. I need a GC spitzer dropping at about .314 with a weight around 130 to 140 grains. Would like it in a Lee six cavity, and it needs to carry enough lube to be driven well over 2000 fps. Anyone else interested?

I missed out on the last GB for this cartridge too. .30 cal gas checks shouldn't be too hard to come by. Now that I have a fare selection of .41 molds, I'd probably go for this one.

Something to look at: About 137 gr. ready to load, 0.314" diameter.

Unfortunately, that flat point would hang up in the AK Hunter. The Wolf 124 gr hollow points hang up constantly, and the "flat" on them is just 1/10" diameter. It could be that I need to trade off the rifle for something more "cast friendly". [smilie=b:

That looks like it'll work in my 91/30. Hmmmmm.....I may need this one.

If this comes off in some form then I'd be interested.

It sure would suit my rifle better. Seems like it wants to hang on anything but a sharp point. :D

Let's have a quick check. If you're in for version 3 (post #14) in a Lee 6 cavity please say so.

I like version 3 the best.

If I was able to swing one, I would get the #14 post. I think it would be a good cross over for other 30 calibers as well.

It's tapered: 0.310" in front of crimp groove to 0.306" 0.15" forward of it.

I like the final version also, But some questions, How much shorter if any is it than the standard Lee 155-312 Also is the lube groove bigger than the 155?

Thanks,Tim

This one is 0.855" long and is shorter than the Lee boolit because it weighs less. The lube groove is quite a bit bigger than the Lee boolit because it needs to be.

id rather flat nose if i had my choice. it then would make a decent combat and hunting bullet.
