I resently was given a double cavity bullet mold in very good condition. It's a Hensley&Gibbs mold has a #62 stamped on it thats all. The best that I can measure it appears to be .225 dia. and aproximently .742 long simi pointed it is a GC bullet have looked on the mold cheat sheet and can't find it any help will be appreciated. what top punch to use would be a great start. Looks like a good bullet design.

Go to the ballisti-cast web site and look at their # 562 or #662 ....they have most of the H&G designs and add 500 or 600 to the the original number.

I'm having a lot of brain fade this morning...insufficient coffee and phone calls to bank and cardiologist already...GETTING OLD AIN'T FOR SISSIES!

Our H&G guy has been sent a PM,, I did not find the #62 on any chart myself.

From the factory ledger:

#62 - .22 Hi-Power. 60 grains in linotype at .735" length. April 9, 1943. Gas check base, three grease grooves, no crimp groove. Tapered, rounded nose with small meplat.


I would appreciate a photo of the cavities when you get a chance.
