MiHec Brass 360640 HP/ Aluminum 8 Cavity Solid ReRun

MiHec 360640 Cramer HP in 2 cav or 4 cav hp or 6 cav solid brass or 8 cav solid aluminum.
This is a run of an earlier design produced by BRP. This will be a single crimp groove, cramer brass HP mold that is suitable for the 38 Special, 357 Magnum and other suitable caliber handguns with cylinders long enough to suit them. It will cast at 0.360". The original weight was about 140 gr as a hollow point, which is the only way i've shot it. The nose design is exactly like the 359640 as made by MiHec ahead of the crimp grooves. It is VERY accurate as can be attested to by several board members here in either design. A blank plug will provide that as well as a round and penta HP depending on what was wanted. The following is the discussion thread.
The Meplate to crimp groove distance is .340.

This is a great bullet in many applications!
It fly's like a lazer in every gun I have shot it in. The only guns I have had an issue with getting it to fit is the N frame smiths with their short cylinders.....
Besides that gun it has been super in everything else 38 special/ 357 Mag/9mm heavy weight!

Not much data on this bullet and it historically seems to have lost some press to its bigger double crimp groove brother, the 359-640. To set the record straight, this design is neck and neck for accuracy with the former. Also my most used 357 bullet.

I have this in a 2 cavity and heartily endorse it for 38 Spl/357 revolvers, as well as the 357 Rossi 92. Mine is a plain base and I am contemplating getting one as a gas check HP.
