I have wanted a 9mm bolt action rifle for quite a long time, my local gun shop just got in a Used 22tcm rifle and I was thinking it would make a good candidate for a 9mm bolt action.... how hard would it be to get a green mountain barrel blank and turn a 9mm barrel for it?

Might be a good little garden gun.
I'll try to keep my eye on this thread.

You might discuss it with JES; reboring might be a better alternative. No inletting, no bluing, easy.

If not enough barrel thickness for a JES rebore John Taylor can fix you.

I did that with a Remington 580. Those $35 Green Mountain blanks are the deal for projects like this. No big deal if you have a lathe.

I'm playing with a Spanish Destroyer in 9mm Largo, in another thread.
Great fun.
9mm Largo is not a common caliber, so I've had a few problems along the way.
Seems to be finaly coming together.

I'm subscribing to this thread. It sounds interesting. I'd definitely check with JES before you buy a barrel blank.

I put a 9mm luger chamber in a Destrover Carbine by setting back the barrel. It shot well but even when using a correct 9MM mag from a Colt 1911 the action had to be worked briskly or a shell could misfeed and not enter the chamber. A 9mm Super was a better feeding conversion.

Well I picked up the donor rifle for 225$OTD I will call Jes to see if he will do the job, I like this rifle because I can use 15 round mags or a 10 round
