I have a Browning 53 32wcf and it is a fine shooter, problem is it throws fired brass a loooong way and in no particular direction. Has any one lightened the ejector spring on theirs? How many coils needed to be removed? Thanks

.

Because the ejector spring is the heart of the action work some folks have cut coils off but this sometimes causes the gun not to eject properly.

This is because the spring does not have much travel to start with and if it’s cut, over time, they tend to take a set and no longer work.

A proper spring is available for $8.50: https://store.stevesgunz.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=4_9&products_id=9&zenid=sk7fih60eem2e98g5v9avrpqf5

Thanks I'll look at getting a replacement spring. Hopefully the Rossi 92 clone will be right for the Browning also.
