Suppressed lever guns

I have been thinking about lever guns as suppressor hosts...I have only been able to find two stock rifles that are stock threaded from the factory, the Marlin 1894 CST and the Henry Frontier Threaded. The Marlin is about 1000usd which seem crazy high! The Frontier has a 24 inch barrel which with with a suppressor would be crazy long. Other than threading an older model with a short magazine tube are there other options out there?

Lots of folks have threaded the Rossi 92’s. I have an 1894 in .357 that I keep planning to have threaded, but keep putting it off.

I used to have a Marlin 1895 45-70 which I had threaded.

It was fun as a bench rest toy, I still have the suppressor,it is sort of big,BR-brand. Not very practical for any normal use but a hanclap sound sending 500 grainers downrange was interesting and great fun for a while.

Vihtavuori 3N37 was my powder for subsonic.

Marlin just released their Dark Series. 336 30-30 factory threaded 5/8 X 24.
Would love to have one just to put my can on it and play.

Factory threaded can’t help you. I had a 1895 cut to 17 inches, threaded, and converted to takedown. That one is very fun.

I have a few leverguns that are threaded for suppressor use.

The first is a Marlin M1895 in 45/70:

A 400 grain bullet at 1000 FPS is quite effective at short range and the sound of that big slug slamming home has to be heard to be appreciated.

I bought this one last year (it’s my only factory threaded levergun):

It’s a Marlin 1894CST with a 16.5” barrel and with my handloads (or factory standard velocity 38 special ammo) it’s whisper quiet. I haven’t used it on game as of yet but may get the chance to take it to the field this fall.

The last one I had made from a Rossi Ranch Hand in 45 Colt:

I took the Ranch Hand and did the paperwork to convert it to an SBR and while waiting for the paperwork to clear I had the barrel threaded.

Once the paperwork cleared I dropped it into a finished Boyd’s replacement stock and it makes for a light, handy carbine (with or without the can).
