120 gr boolit - 10.8 to 13 grains blue dot
150 gr boolit - 8.2 to 10.8 grains blue dot
I would start my load work up at 9 grains blue dot and go up from there.

This link has data for Blue dot in a 357 with a 140 grain bullet. Just a guideline but should get you in the ballpark.

thanks; funny, 9.0grn is what my Lyman book has me starting at with a 160gr boolit also.
why does one book say std. sml pistol primers (CCI 500) & other say use magnum sml pistol?

Some testers use magnum primers when loading magnum cases as a rule, even if it isn't necessary for proper ignition.
