View Full Version : 90436 or .440 mold?

I don't even know where i got this mold. It's a .440 Round ball double Lee mold. What caliber are these used for? The side of the mold says 90436

It is normally used with a heavy cloth patch in a traditional 45 caliber long rifle.

That makes sense now. It's .440 add .010 or more patch + lube. I still can't figure why i have it. I may have bought it on the road somewhere. I also found a 90440 Thats a .451 diameter is that for a 45 cal BP pistol?

yep, or for a loose bored rifle.

Thanks.... let me know if anybody needs the 90436 the .440 diameter mold real cheap. The .451 i can use for wrist rocket balls or for the 45 rb loads.

What is real cheap? is it new, or at least tight?

The .451 can be used in the 44 BP revolver. Usually something like the .453 or 457 is used in the 44 but they could come out a little bigger anyway. I have a .457 and a .453 Lee RB mould. the .457s come out .457 or .458 but the .453s come out to more like .456 or .457 most the time.

It look like almost new, no smears and is tight...$10 +shipping.....I think i can ship for $4.80
