Another "Owl Head" revolver to found its way to the Hardin County Home for Wayward Guns.
Iver Johnson Model 834, Supershot Sealed Eight, .22 caliber with adjustable sights and finger rest adapter. Made in 1938. This one came out of New Jersey. (There should be rebate from the state for taking it off their streets!)
According to Bill Goforth's book, the entire production run of the .22 Supershot Sealed Eight series revolvers was about 125,000 (or slightly less). He considers the pre war models (1932-1941) scarce. The finish is a bit challenged, but mechanically it is in great shape. Hope to have a range report next week.
