Folks anyone got any links to articles or PDF's on the 45? Anything from gun reviews, ballistics, ammo tests from guns and ammo or any other publication? I am trying to get a collection together.

I'm not sure how old they are, but they were written by John Taffin. He's about as close as you're gonna get to a modern day Keith or Skeeter as far as gun writing goes.

I have a pretty large digital archive of old gun articles, magazines, and books that I've been building for several years now. I'll see if I have anything else on the 45 ACP for you.

It was no problem at all. I love collecting old articles like that. It's fun to look back and see what people used to think and how they used to do things. I've got a pile of old magazines that I'd like to digitize if I can ever find a good way to do it without cutting them up.
Oh, and I just learned a new trick for searching on Google. If you type in the name of the magazine you want and follow it up with filetype: pdf (without the space between the : and the p) then it will pull up only PDFs. (For example, American Handgunner filetype: pdf). I just found a bunch of magazines that way. I'd watch where you download them from as some sites look a bit sketchy, but there are quite a few out there so you should be able to find plenty of what you're wanting.

Don't forget Handloader Magazine articles by Ken Water's , he had at least two Pet Loads articles on the 45 ACP; I still use one of his for my self defense load, 7.0 grs of Unique with a Speer 200 gr flying ashtray as it was called.

A possible source for you is the "Guns" magazine archives.
https://gunsmagazine.com/classic-issues/classic-guns-magazine-editions/
1955 through the latest fifty years old date.
I put them on an e-reader and read them on the bus ride home.

Has anyone shot #2 pencils at targets with their 1911? I read it in a book and sure enough! It's an offshoot of the firing pin test.

Digital camera on a tripod facing down. You can light them as necessary to get a good image. After getting the setup and focus like you want, use a remote shutter release.
Flip a page and snap the shutter. Repeat.
You can use a piece of glass or clear plastic to keep the pages flat if necessary.
