In that day you will ask Me nothing. JOHN 16:23
When is “that day”? It is when the ascended Lord makes you one with the Father. “In that day” you will be one with the Father just as Jesus is, and He said, “In that day you will ask Me nothing.” Until the resurrection life of Jesus is fully exhibited in you, you have questions about many things. Then after a while you find that all your questions are gone— you don’t seem to have any left to ask. You have come to the point of total reliance on the resurrection life of Jesus, which brings you into complete oneness with the purpose of God. Are you living that life now? If not, why aren’t you?
“In that day” there may be any number of things still hidden to your understanding, but they will not come between your heart and God. “In that day you will ask Me nothing”— you will not need to ask, because you will be certain that God will reveal things in accordance with His will. The faith and peace of John 14:1 has become the real attitude of your heart, and there are no more questions to be asked. If anything is a mystery to you and is coming between you and God, never look for the explanation in your mind, but look for it in your spirit, your true inner nature— that is where the problem is. Once your inner spiritual nature is willing to submit to the life of Jesus, your understanding will be perfectly clear, and you will come to the place where there is no distance between the Father and you, His child, because the Lord has made you one. “In that day you will ask Me nothing.”

Man was created to ask questions and to search for knowledge. If God and wanted mindless puppets, He would not have put the Tree of Knowledge in the Garden of Eden. He knew man would not be able to stay away from it. He created us as sinners and knew Adam and Eve would not resist what was forbidden.

God spoke to Moses about questions that every culture asks...How was the universe, earth, life created. God knows we are wired to ask questions like that....or why babies must die etc etc.

Believers accept there is are reasons for their questions that will be known when we are one with Him. Reasons we are unable to grasp now, or He would make that knowledge known to us.

God tells us want we need to know and what we are capable of understanding.

I believe the Father gives us like any good parent, what we need not necessarily what we "want".

I also believe that when the day comes, we will be united with God the father and the son. And we will know and understand. But we are not ready for that yet.

"Then after a while you find that all your questions are gone— you don’t seem to have any left to ask. You have come to the point of total reliance on the resurrection life of Jesus, which brings you into complete oneness with the purpose of God. Are you living that life now? "

Yes, and Yes.

Good one RL.

Good lesson . Faith carry's the load here . GOD has been giving knowledge all along in increments . Don is right...we are curious creatures . He is still satisfying our constant seeking of earthly things to keep us guessing . Causation of all is not explained and can not be explained .

.................................................. .............Causation = GOD !

Yes Charlie, as men, we must have faith as we lack the ability to understand how God works.

Regrettably for man, some believe God has not told us enough....but He knows when we are ready for more truth. We will know when He decides His children are ready....

Would we tell our five year old grandson there is no Santa Clause? What would be gained? He is not ready for the truth.

We cannot fathom His greatness. Look into the night sky....we can only see a tiny fraction of the universe...and we are in awe....and He created not only what we can see, but what we cannot see.

I often wonder if we will ever know everything. Even when we are with Him. But the questions may not matter then. We do not know what we do not know.

Don you pretty well nailed it . Given this thought from you gives me great joy brother . Everything you said is true . If we want to seriously ponder on something try to figure out where GOD 'came from' . lol , good luck with that !
