Thanks.

The brief stories I've heard from two Normandy vets are beyond horrific.

Outstanding!

There is a large amount of Americans, a certain segment of society, who should listen, & learn, from that story.

As well, as the other countless stories of the folks who gave their all for the USA.

It would do them good to know what others did, so they could enjoy the Rights & Freedoms that more than a few want to take away...

Thanks for sharing that story, on this Memorial Day 2019.

Thank you so much

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Thank you for posting. I'm afraid that too many of our people just never knew the terrific cost to so many for our freedom here in the US. I just can't imagine why anyone would even think of turning our nation into a socialist country. There's a generation or two who should see this and realize that it really did happen. It saddened me to watch the video, but I am glad to have seen it.

Thank you for posting this. I recently found out that a man I have known my entire life was a veteran of WW2. He never spoke of his military service and I never knew till recently that he had served. He was a friend, neighbor and a deacon at our small church. I recently found out that he was medic at Utah beach on D-day, he was also at the battle of the Bulge. I cannot imagine the horrors he saw and yet he never spoke of it and never bragged or ask for any pity. I had the honor of placing a veterans marker and a flag on his grave this year. Thank you for your service Gene

My Grandfather went ashore that day and would never talk about it just like my Great Uncle (grandfathers sisters husband) that island hopped in the South Pacific as a Marine. Uncle Ray was one of the nicest guys I ever met and always insisted on stopping me halfway through mowing his lawn to buy me a Pepsi at the general store down the street. I disliked Pepsi a great deal but was taught to never refuse such a gesture, thanked him and set on the steps with him while drinking it.
Odd thing about him. Maybe 5ft4in but he helped my Pepre dig his celler. Picked out a 400-500lb stone, carried it across the yard and threw it in the lake. My grandmother always would point it out to me

My dad was in 2nd Division Rangers, he was in 3rd boat to hit the shore at Point De Hoc. 236 men started, 3 days later 63 were left.
He got shot up at the hedgerows. He rarely spoke of it.
