What muzzle velocity is required to get a 260 grain cast bullet shot from a Ruger New Vaquero 5.5” barrel with fixed sighs to shoot to the point of aim at 25 yds?

I know I will need to do my own testing to confirm the MV in my own revolver but I was wondering if this information is already known.

I cast with SAECO #955 & a LEE 452 255 Molds and my bullets drop at 261 gr mostly with my total metals 20:1 alloy.
I’ve just received a Lyman 250 gr #452664 but I haven’t cast with it yet.

That involves your grip and forearm mass, hand strength so the whole equation is involved in finding POI. It's not just the gun or where the sights are regulated.

Normally faster loads will shoot lower as they exit the muzzle before the gun has the chance to flip skyward too much. Slower loads stay in the barrel longer so the gun will actually be pointing more skyward when the boolit leaves = boolit strikes the target at a higher elevation..
