Darnedest thing. Bought and cancelled the Lyman Brass Smith twice today thinking about getting a new powder measure. Gunsmith friend comes into my shop today and hands me a micrometer from an old powder measure that someone had dropped off at his place. Anyone take a stab at what this is from? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190517/bfb354147f01e3e498d093cb268e569a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190517/df209880c582533d035b14048b4069f8.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190517/2392e6971780b381f692c3d935647652.jpg
Looks like decent quality, I’m thinking 70s or older.

Those can come in very handy if you are building a jig or something of that sotr. I have several of them in my mic drawer. One has a 3" diameter spindle for super fine accuracy. The ones I have are marked either Starrett or Mitutoyo. Too bad that one is not stamped with the maker.

It is a micrometer seating stem for a Hornady bullet seating die.

That’s decisive! Thank you.
