I am considering one of these, have never owned a single action because of problems with my hands resulting from shooting large calibers in them. I have avascular necrosis in both wrists and have shot a few in 41 and 44 mag, but could not deal with the recoil and pinched nerves that resulted.

32 Mag should have a whole lot less recoil, that is why I am considering this one. It is new in box with adjustable sights and unfluted engraved cylinder, I think it is a Lipsey's. Are there any issues with these or things that are not to like about them?

Thanks Matt

Love Bisleys. Love .32's. I bought one of these. The only issue I had was that the front sight was the wrong height and it would not zero. I wound up having a taller front sight made. If that is a problem you can Google "2 Dogs" to find a person who makes quality steel replacement sights. I had to settle for aluminum.

FWIW the past 2 Rugers I have bought had the wrong height sights for my hands and loads.

I shoulda jumped on it! Wanted to!but didn’t. By the time I got home & called back! Someone else realized what was there.

Now I considering a single seven in 327, but not offered in a Bisley. :(

Great beauty gun!,

I'd guess you'll love that revolver!

I've had an original run SS in 32 H&R for about 25 years now. While I still love the bigger magnums the Ruger SS gets shot a lot. In the Safariland high ride holster I hardly know it's on my belt. True magnum level loads are easy on recoil. The rounds shown are loaded with 8.5 gr 2400 under the 313631 (105 GC SWC) and the run 1350 fps at 27,000 psi (measured). Accuracy is excellent. However, I really don't shoot the magnum level loads that much. I mostly shoot the 90 gr lee TL SWC over 2.7 - 2.8 gr Bullseye for a very accurate, pleasant load to shoot. It is also a fine small game load although I actually prefer my 32 S&WL WC load for small game. That load is the Speer 32 swaged 98 gr HBWC over 2.0 - 2.1 gr Bullseye with the HBWC seated out to the 1st cannelure groove. It runs a tudge over 800 fps out of the 6 1/2" barrel of the Ruger with excellent accuracy. That WC at that velocity is very deadly on small critters and doesn't damage much meat on the edible ones. Recoil and muzzle ballast are nil.

I can think of no reason not to own one. IME, they are absolutely excellent. Light recoiling, very accurate, they balance well in the hand. As a woods or trail gun in the lower 48, you can do far worse. I have two Single 7's, but I am plotting to get a Bisley 32 H&R soon after I retire.

Thanks for the input... I may have a chance to try one of these out! The amount of pain I have experienced from other single actions has really had a negative impact upon me. Nerves being crushed in the palm of your hand on each pull of the trigger will do that to ya!

Mine is currently at the auction house because it was heavier than my regular Single Six 32 magnum and I didn't need the extra weight to deal with the modest recoil. The Bisley also shot high, even with the rear sight adjusted as low as possible. I assume that was a quirk of that particular revolver, and could have been addressed with a replacement higher front sight. These are all relatively quibbling criticisms. If a 6 1/2 inch Bisley was the only .32 magnum in Christendom, I would think it is the caterpiller's spats.

I love mine. The only problem is that it did shoot high. A 2dogs front sight fixed that. I have since acquired a few .327’s, and I treat this one like my reloadable .22. I dabbled in heavier bullets and heavier loads, but came back to 98gn wadcutters and 2.5gn of bullseye. Very accurate!

Course you have the option of 32S&W Longs for lighter loads. Probably the best are 98 grain swc's in my opinion. 2.1 grains of Bullseye with a 98 runs about 800 fps in my 4" S&W 631.

For some unknown reason, in my gun, I got a heavy crud ring when shooting s&w longs in my .32hrm.

And you can shoot the .32 S&W and .32 S&W long. And for inaccurate giggles you can shoot .32ACP. The platform/cartridge match of the SSM Ruger is nigh perfect IMO. I miss every one I've owned (4)[emoji849]

I own several 32 Rugers,, including a couple of the Bisleys.
A comment above,, "a reloadable .22" is a fair description. You can load them very mild,, and it'll feel like a .22,,! Yet,, just a wee bit more & it won't offer much more recoil,, yet the downrange performance will be impressive.
I was a huge skeptic when the 32 H&R mag was introduced,,, and figured it would fail. Until I tried one,, then I knew it was a winner.

An excellent small game (and even up to mid-sized game,) caliber & gun,, with low recoil & pleasant handling.

I got the six and a half inch Bisley also. Same problem as others with too short of front sight. I ended up putting a ramp with a marbles bead front sight and got the V sight insert for the rear sight from Ruger website. I did it the hard way I didn't know about two dogs front sight. Lot of fun to shoot with 32 Long's.

"a reloadable 22"..I like that description. That is what I like about my Ruger SP101 4 inch 327.I load everything in 327 brass but keep the velocity below the speed of sound. This does everything a 22 rim fire will do and a whole lot more. I would like to have a Single 7 in 327 with a 7 1/2 inch barrel.

Nice groups !
The 22 shortage got me into 32s and they are fun little guns to shoot. The only good thing that came out of the $50.00 a brick 22s

I don't own a bisley but you can't go wrong with a 32 magnum. I can't imagine there would be any recoil in a gun that size. I have a bit of arthritis in my hands so i can understand not wanting the recoil.

Where I live the 32S&W Long works fine for me. A bit slower than a high speed 22 LR, but a larger boolit, and if SWC a nice flat meplat. A 32 H&R Magnum would only add case capacity and might cause problems there as I try to keep speeds down to 800 fps or so. For much the same reason I prefer the 44 Special over the 44 Magnum. I reckon I am just an old curmudgeon and don't see much need for sound and fury, just prefer a nice pedestrian round I can hit with, and is pleasant to shoot.
