Had to take a break from everything Dr. said. Especially my shooting. He replaced 3 wires in my heart, replaced my pacemaker, and did some valve work.

I am blessed, this is my 3rd pacemaker. Grateful for the extra time here on earth to be with my wife and the chance to do many more things in the future.

Update on were I am at. Settled on 1f powder, 69gr by weight. Don't remember what the volume was, somewhere around 64gr. Have not made a dipper yet. One .060 veggie wad, cci200 lr primer. Have not settled on a bullet yet. I know all will change with the bullet selected. Have 4 moulds ranging from 300gr up to 500 gr.

Can't wait but will wait to get back to it.

We're glad you are still here, Chuck! Watching with interest as I develop my own loads.

Only 2 more weeks before I can shoot the 45-70. I have not cheated yet and only 2 weeks left I think I can hold out.

Chuck,
I had a pacemaker fitted last year after my heart was stopping for up to 6 secs at a time and I thought this is it. Sold off all my big bangers (50/90 stc.) but kept the '86 Winchester in 45/70. I only shoot mild trapdoor loads but it is great therapy to feel that recoil once again.

All the very best with your recovery, may you continue to wear out your favourite rifles!
