my Vetterli has been done, thank goodness. I was having some ignition problems with some primers so I loaded a round with 10g Unique and went and got a 13" log from the wood shed closed the doors on the shop and fired the round. It went off and didn't penetrate the log, so I said will try it with another brand primmer, fired it, the slug went through and fell to the rear of the log about 10" so different primers must cause different pressure as all things were the same except the primmer. I did get the ignition problem solved though.
If a light load like this will cause a 255gr boolit to penetrate 13" of wet elm it should be fine for a deer don't you think?
