Maybe you could be ambi-keyboardish.

Or just identify as a lefty and it will be true.

Be well, and best wishes for a speedy recovery

But I don't understand the problem, I only use one finger on each hand to type on a keyboard (I'm improving). All my thumbs do is hit the space bar otherwise. On a iPad or phone I've devolved back to hunt and peck with a single finger

Outside tendon? Had mine detached, shortened, reattached. Brace for 4 weeks or so but I could still type...

All I use are the index fingers. Thumb sneaks in there occasionally.

Expecting everything will go well for you. A stylus works wonders when a finger can’t.

On my right hand the thumb is on the left. On my left hand the thumb is on the right. Make sure the doctor knows which thumb to work on.
And get well soon.

It went well. No big bandage and no splint. And no computer restrictions. Shooting restriction 22 only for now. I had to ask lol. Numbing wearing off hurts some and some swelling. Im going to ice it shortly

I have a set back. I have a infection. I went to the er last night. They ran an IV antibiotic. And gave a me a prescription for keflex. Hopefully it kicks in soon. My right hand and forearm is pretty puffed up.

Man I am sorry to hear about the infection......Somebody may have goofed while doing the sterilizing and boom ,,,, gave you something you surely did not need. Many well wishes for a quick recovery to you.

The marker idea was great. I can see how the redness is receding. I keep overdoing things though. And then i hurt. Im too independent. And it's hard for me to ask for help.

Sorry to hear about the infection. Sounds like prompt and aggressive action is doing the trick. My brother fought an infection for a year and had to go through several surgeries for it so I know how serious it is.

Saw the doc today. He's trying to tell me it was a reaction to the prep solution. I'm not buying it. I don't think you get a fever and redness from a reaction and antibiotics take it away then.

There are many things that can cause swelling and redness without it being infection. Was there ever any green or foul smelling discharge from the surgical sight? A true fever systemically over 100.4? We see many inflammatory occurrences but doesn’t mean it’s infected but safest to treat even if it isn’t. Either way, glad you’re in the mend.

As far as sterilization, it’s hard to mess that up and there are several safe guards in place to ensure adequate sterilization on a national standard.

No discharge. Fever yes it was 100.4 at the Er. They said the ibuprofen was masking it. Thanks for the second opinion too. Started PT too today.

Well the infection is back. My GP thinks it's staph from the hospital. 2 week antibiotics this time around. At least it's not all puffed up like before.
