Just picked up an IZH 46, very cool .177 target pistol. Shoots great.

Anybody have any experience with them? Kudo's? Snakes in the grass to watch out for?

Anybody have experience putting peep sights on one?

Favorite pellet?

Replace the O-rings? Hard? Easy?

Thanks.

Haven't done nothing to mine except shoot about 20k through it shooting 40 shot matches. I prefer the H&N Wadcutter pellet or Meisters I believe from Pilkguns. I did narrow the front sight alittle and some minor tweaking on the grip with some modeling clay. Build up you shooting to prevent tendonitis of the elbow, like 10-20 rounds per day and slowly build from there. The weight and extended/locked elbow can get tired and soreafter a few days of over doing it and will take a eeek or two to heal.

I had a Gamo compact. I'm not a competitor just a back yard enthusiast with air pistol

I was stuck @ 88 average for 10 shots. Bought a IZH46m and jumped to low 90s. A month later I was averaging 94. That was about the limit for me. Great gun with now downside.

Since Russia does not import them anymore, they are hard to find. They are highly sought after for the beginning serious airgun competitor. Most competitors use any brand of wad cutter pellets in the 7.0 gram weight.

I sure wish I still had mine. It was simply a shooting machine. So satisfying.

Put about 400 pellets through it so far. It just shoots ridiculously well.

Pretty sure I'll get my $220 worth of fun out of it.

I've owned/shot the Russian pistols for decades. A lot of pistol for little $$$
