Just kidding. My used new to me Lee 452230TC seems like a good one. 4.7grs
(.5cc Lee scoop) of Bullseye fed perfectly from a modified 1911 mag thru "Young Ugly"- my $275 Ruger P97. Offhand at 10 yds in the light rain. I think I'm gonna like it . Best $15 (S&S) I've ever spent.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190425/500e661367579d263707935080ee3387.jpg

I have both versions of this design, conventional and TL. It's one of my favorite general purpose .45 bullets.

Looks pretty good to me most of my molds are lee and the do a good job no matter the price. I really like the weight as my hands bother me when casting for long periods.

If ya move the blue dot a tiny bit farther down on the target next time out, you'll really be happy.

I have two of the same lee 6 gang molds. makes piles of 45 bullets, once one gets to hot just switch out and let first one cool some.

I love the 230TC. The bullets tend to drop free much better than my 405RF mold, and nearly as well as my 158RF. Even with the 2 cavity, when removal goes so well they pile up quick.

I had a 200 RNFP Lee mold .452 persuasion and it made little bitty groups like that and like a dummy I have always been, guy at the range offered me a $10.00 profit and I took him up on the deal. I wish I wasn't so darned greedy. james

Winger Ed, all I gotta do is rotate the target 180^? I’m thinking it would have some slap factor for game. I only cast twenty for trials, dang it.

I wish I'd thought of that.

I've tried adjusting my target dots up & down, but somehow they drift off a little by the time I get back to the bench.

Nice shooting from a P97!! I got hold of a Ruger P90 in .45 ACP , it shoots all weights wonderfully!!
What I really like about it, it shoots Remington factory JHP to point of aim at 21 yards and that’ll work for me! I will try that boolit in the future. Thanks for the info!

This is my bedside gun and it also shoots dead on with Hornady CD rubber tip. I'm going to keep it in the shop for awhile to shoot a few hundred rounds before it goes back in the house. When I can manage the trigger correctly it will put a magazine of 200swc into a ragged hole. It gets pretty when you shoot it[emoji846]

I have that mold and a six cavity of the same design for my 9mm's. Not the TL design. Both shoot great, altho I don't have a .45 at this time.......
