I saw this in another thread:

A friend found one at a gun shop in Texas. I hadn't realized Rossi wasn't selling new ones anymore. Sounds like the Rossi 92 scene will be drying up quickly.

Say what? Has something happened to Cowboy Action Shooting? Rossi not making '92s? It seemed to me that they had quite a following.

The website only shows 45 colt models

The rumor I heard was that they were moving the factory, but that has been a while ago.

They are listed on their website and in their catalog:

http://www.rossiusa.com/pdf/2018-rossi-catalog.pdf

From their website:

The Rossi R92 Round Barrel delivers shorter, lighter versions of their big brothers with 16 or 20 carbine models. Available in .38/.357, .44 Mag., .45 Colt, .44-40 Win and .454 Casull. The R92 Round Barrel comes in two finish options - Blue and Stainless. All R92 Round Barrel models feature crescent buttplates and an extended front sight.

For brush hunting and wilderness packing, Rossi R92 carbine .454 Casull features optional magazine-tube loading and recoil absorbing butt pad.

Hope this helps.

It's anybody's guess. Rossi has had contradicting information on their website for a long time now.

They did move the factory. I bought a 2018 model in stainless 357 last year. Just saw one of my distributors post 44 mag in both SS and blued today. But numbers are few and slow coming. Been a few 45 LC also.

You have to click on the model and it takes you to the description. I posted the proper link in post #3, and copied and pasted the description from the website.

Hope this helps.

They might be switching over to 1-38 twist in their barrels at the request from Marlin.

I thought they had started showing up again. It did seem strange that it took so long to resume production and it only affected their 92’s. Hope they straighten things out.

Cowboy action shooting is alive and well. Rossi is missing the boat.

Hope this is not true... As I have wanted a 454 for some time and havent found one. I know I can buy on line so may have to if this is in fact true.

I have a shop not far from Me with two 45 colts a rifle and a carbine. I can buy both for very good cost but dont need them.
