The weapon is a glock 20. Std barrel. Does anyone have a good, safe load to push 200 gr beartooth or MBC 200 gr hardcast 10mm to 1200 fps? Is seating or OAL different with hard cast?

My go to powders for this is 800X and Blue Dot. Neither one meters very well but its not a consern to me as I dont “need” many of these loads on hand.

Longshot, Power Pro & #7 do a fine job as well but meter much better.

Seating depth, for heavy loads usually means as much powder cap as attainable. BUT load needs to function. So testing is needed. Seat longer and longer making sure the cartritage fits in mag and feeds. Glocks with factory barrels are quite forgiving.

Ill not post my loads as they are proven safe and worked up in my gun. I gave a KKM 6” barrel and 1200 is not hard for me to attain.

Not to preach, but Id never take a internet suggested load as face value anyhow.

Niko,
welcome to the forum.
I moved your post to a better section.

Maybe define what you mean by "Good, safe Load".

What I'd do, is ask Beartooth or MBC for a Starting load, then work up to the load that best suits your gun and your application. With a Hard alloy, you can probably work up to near Jacketed bullet pressures.

As to COAL, you may have to investigate what your Magazine will allow, and also what fits in the chamber.

Using the Montana Bullet Works 200 grain

LOA: 1.230"

Starline case

Winchester LP primer...

Long Shot:
8.6 grains
1210 fps from a 4.25" RIA
1260 from a 6" PARA Hunter

This was worked up from 7.6 grains then 8.1 then 8.6...

No guaranties from a Glock...would suggest you start at 7.0 and work up SLOWLY... I have a Glock 40 but have not tried them in the is gun yet...

Also you may want to ask over here...
