Busted these 2 this morning. Came right out below my stand and I shot the big one first, reloaded and then shot the little one on the run. Spine hit so I finished it with a heart shot. First deer went about 70 yards. Shot through the heart/lungs and broke her leg in 2 places. No bullets were recovered. They were 405gr. Lee bullets over 14.5 gr. If you are looking for a pure and simple deer rifle, in my opinion you cant go wrong with a Handi.

I have a whole flock of Handi's.

Nice job on the two-fer.

Watched a Buddy do a nearly identical deal. He shot the first one and it was DRT and shot the second one two steps into running. Handi rifle 45-70 also. Good job.

Went out today again with the Camp Carbine 45. No deer, but busted a squirrel at about 40yd with a 230gr. HydraShok HP. In the Freezer!!!!
