I have a lot of brass stored under one of my loading tables.
One of the neatly taped up medium flat rate mail boxes had never been opened but i assumed it was just a large batch of brass. I assumed brass until I tried to move it.
It was located in a place that had not been touched in 6 or 7 years and I didn't have a clue what it was but it was so heavy it had to be some sort of casting metal.
i thought I hope it is a big lot of 63/37 solder or similar. Turns out to be the next best thing sort of... 55 lbs of lead water pipe... So I am going to need enough solder to turn it into 20-1 alloy. Enough metal for about 800 bullets..

My problem is finding what I've "misplaced" AFTER I've bought its replacement, and that always seem to happen AFTER I've "misplaced" the receipt for the replacement.

I love when i find things i forgot about.

Yeah, me too! When I retired 4 years ago I started cleaning and reorganizing things. My closets, drawers, loading room, shop, ect. In my shop I found several buckets of wheel weights. I mean, I just kept finding them! Also found lots of phone company cable splices that I remember getting but had forgot about. Of course I was working 2 very demanding jobs at that time and any off time was pretty scarce.
