I have a left hand Savage 110 in .338wm and would like to swap it out to .375 Ruger.
1. Where do I get a bbl.?
2. will the .338 bolt head work?
3. Can I do this myself with the proper wrench and headspace guage?

1. Where do I get a bbl.?
Check with Midway USA or E.R.Shaw. Do a Google search.
2. will the .338 bolt head work?
Are the rim diameters the same?

you could call/e-mail savage also. they might have either the bbl or short chambered ones that could be final reamed. that is how a&b bbls come now, nice for w-cats.

When I called Savage a year or so ago they wouldn't sell barrels ? I haven't looked at the case head dimensions of the 375 yet so no help . As far as swappin' barrels though I do it often on my savage and it's easy , be sure to use some anti seize on threads if you plan to remove it easily in the future . James

Well, they both have a .532 inch head diameter, but the Ruger has no belt.
They also have the same OAL.
Looks like Ruger planned this caliber swap all along.

No particular problem swapping bolt heads if necessary, but it sounds
like it is not necessary. I have a 110 that I swap back and forth between
'06 and 7x57 as my whim directs. Easy, both are accurate what a great design.

The belt works in the chamber so shouldn't affect the barrel swap as far as the bolt head is concerned. DALE

Possibly one of the best information sites I've found on Savages. Good info on how to make your own headspacing gauges, set headspace, etc.

JLJ sent you in the right direction. switch barrel has some good info. And if you have a friend that can run a lathe, they can rethread a remington takeoff to be used for the savage.
